How to Hear, Speak, and Live God’s Word for Lasting Transformation!

Have you ever found yourself reading God’s Word, loving His promises, and yet wondering, “Why am I not changing?”

I know I have.

There was a time in my walk with the Lord when I was reading Scripture, growing in knowledge, and wanting to experience more of God, but I still found myself struggling with the same fears, patterns, and frustrations. I wanted to see a difference in my life. I wanted transformation. But I was missing a vital part of the process.

I needed to learn how to take God’s Word beyond the pages and allow it to become the way I thought, spoke, chose, and lived.

And that is the heart behind the fresh release of She Speaks Life!

God Is Doing a New Thing

After taking a couple of months away from the podcast publicly, I am so excited to be back!

And no, friend, I wasn’t stuck in the Bahamas somewhere baking in the sun. Although that sounds lovely!

God and I have been having conversations.

As the previous season of She Speaks Life was coming to an end, I knew there was going to be a shift. There was a preparation happening in my spirit for something new. During those months, I spent time inclining my ear to hear from the Holy Spirit about the direction of the podcast, what this new release would look like, and where He wanted to take it.

From day one in 2019, She Speaks Life came from the Lord. I stepped out in obedience, not knowing exactly what I was doing, but knowing I wanted to be faithful in sharing His faithfulness.

For years, this podcast has been a place where incredible women have shared their faith stories. Those conversations have encouraged us, challenged us, and pointed us to Jesus. I am so grateful for every woman who has shared her story and every listener who has joined us along the way.

But over the last year, the Lord has been stirring something new in my heart.

The focus was becoming more about the transformation that happens when we hear God’s Word, speak God’s Word, and live out God’s Word.

So today, She Speaks Life enters a new season—a fresh release!

You’ll still find some interviews peppered in from time to time, but primarily, we’re going to be opening Scripture together, studying it deeply, personalizing it, and learning how to walk it out through the power of the Holy Spirit.

And friend, I am so enthusiastic about what God is doing!

From Knowing God’s Word to Living God’s Word

One of the greatest turning points in my own faith journey came when I realized that knowing Scripture was not the same as living Scripture.

I was reading the Word, but I still felt stuck. I was learning truth, but I wanted to see that truth make a difference in my everyday life.

I had to make a choice.

I had to choose to speak what God says and then live it out.

I needed to take His truth from something I knew in my head and allow it to become the way I thought, spoke, chose, and lived.

Through years of studying Scripture, walking with the Lord, daily surrendering, and learning to listen to the Holy Spirit, I discovered something that changed everything: God’s Word isn’t simply knowledge to learn. It is truth to be lived out in every arena of our lives.

That is what we are going to do here on She Speaks Life.

We are going beyond simply knowing the what of Scripture. We are going to discover the why and how of living it out.

We will study the Word in context, uncover the richness of its meaning, discover God’s character, personalize His promises, and learn practical ways to apply His truth through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Because lasting transformation happens when we get revelation of God’s Word that changes us. It happens when we hear it, speak it, and live it.

And as we do, the Word of God goes to work within us and through us.

Introducing the LIFE Framework

I wanted to create a simple, memorable way for us to approach Scripture together. Something that would help us move beyond reading the Word to actually applying it in our daily lives.

And because this is She Speaks Life, I knew the word LIFE was the perfect fit!

The LIFE Framework will be the foundation of our upcoming episodes. It is designed to help us grow in faith, renew our minds, and walk in the transformation God’s Word produces.

Here is what LIFE stands for:

L — Listen to the Word

Discover what Scripture truly says and why it matters.

We begin by listening to God’s Word. We open our Bibles and discover what Scripture says, what it means, and why it matters.

We are not just reading words on a page. We are inclining our ears to receive the truth of God’s Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to bring revelation.

Faith begins with hearing.

I — Internalize the Word

Renew your mind by personalizing God’s truth and having it seared on your heart.

This is where we begin taking the Word personally.

We don’t want Scripture to remain something we simply know. We want it to become the truth that shapes our thoughts, words, decisions, and lives.

As we personalize God’s truth and meditate on His promises, we allow His Word to become rooted in our hearts.

F — Faith in Action

Move from hearing to doing as you apply God’s Word in your daily life.

This is where the Word becomes active in our lives.

James 1:22–25 tells us to be doers of the Word, not hearers only.

Friend, we are not called to simply collect more biblical knowledge. We are called to live what God says!

Faith in action means making the choice to apply His truth. It means taking what we have heard and allowing it to influence how we live.

This is where we move from hearing to doing.

E — Experience Transformation

Watch God produce lasting fruit as we walk in obedience and surrender to growing in Christ.

This is the beautiful result of the process.

As we listen to the Word, internalize it, and put our faith into action, we experience the fruit of growing in Christ.

We are continually advancing to become more like Jesus.

The LIFE Framework is not about checking off a list. It is about living in the process of transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Why We’re Diving Into Proverbs

For the upcoming episodes, I am so excited to take us through one of my favorite books of the Bible: Proverbs!

Have you ever wondered what God’s wisdom looks like in your everyday life?

How do we make wise decisions? How do we order our values? How do we walk in God’s wisdom and experience the benefits of living according to His Word?

That is what makes Proverbs such a beautiful book to study.

I love to think of it this way:

The book of Psalms speaks to our prayer and devotional life. The book of Proverbs speaks to our everyday life.

Proverbs teaches us the principles of Godly living while revealing the promises and benefits attached to walking in His wisdom.

Inside Proverbs, we find short, wise, easy-to-remember sayings that call us to action. We also find parables and riddles—thought-provoking questions that invite us to think deeply about God’s ways.

This book is filled with God-given wisdom and principles rooted in His promises. It reveals His desire for His people to walk in wisdom, blessing, protection, provision, favor, health, and life.

Who Wrote the Book of Proverbs?

The book of Proverbs was primarily written by King Solomon, the third king of Israel and the son of King David. He also built the glorious temple in Jerusalem.

In 1 Kings 3:12, God said to Solomon:

“I have given you a wise and understanding heart.”

Solomon was known for his great wisdom. Scripture tells us that he authored three thousand proverbs and over a thousand songs.

There are also portions of Proverbs attributed to Agur in chapter 30 and King Lemuel’s mother in chapter 31.

The name Solomon means peace or peaceful, and his wisdom and peace brought prosperity to Israel.

But what makes Proverbs so valuable is not simply the wisdom of a king. It is the wisdom that comes from God.

Wisdom Is the Most Valuable Asset

We live in a world with an abundance of information and knowledge. We can search for almost anything, learn almost anything, and gather information in seconds.

But having information is not the same as having Godly wisdom.

Godly wisdom affects every aspect of our lives.

James 3:17 tells us:

“But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.”

That is the kind of wisdom I want!

Wisdom that produces lasting fruit.

Wisdom that brings us into alignment with God’s character.

Wisdom that helps us live in close fellowship with Him.

Proverbs repeatedly highlights the contrast between wisdom and folly, righteousness and wickedness, good and evil, life and death.

It teaches us how to order our values, which leads to character, wholeness, satisfaction, and fulfillment in our lives.

And I love how the qualities of wisdom are the qualities of Christ: obedience to God, right behavior, patience, reliability, humility, diligence, and love.

Jesus Christ is the perfect example of all that Proverbs extols.

Colossians 2:3 tells us that in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Friend, wisdom is not simply something we study in a book. Wisdom is found in Jesus!

The Holy Spirit Reveals God’s Wisdom

As believers in Jesus Christ, we have the Holy Spirit living and dwelling within us.

The Holy Spirit reveals wisdom and understanding to us as we walk with Christ.

Ephesians 1:17 says:

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.”

Isn’t that beautiful?

God desires for us to know Him. He desires for us to walk in His wisdom and understanding.

And as we study Proverbs, we are going to discover how the Holy Spirit helps us understand and apply the riches of God’s Word.

We will explore the wisdom of Scripture, the character of God, and what it looks like to live in the reality of who we are in Christ.

A New Season of Growing in Christ

Friend, God is so faithful to give us new seasons.

Sometimes He begins preparing us before we even understand what the change will look like. Sometimes He redirects us into something new, and we have to be willing to listen and obey.

That is where I am with She Speaks Life.

This podcast is going through a transformation because God is doing a transformation inside of me.

And I believe He is using She Speaks Life as a vehicle to deliver dynamic, Holy Spirit-led content to your ears and heart as He entrusts me to impart it to you.

My heart is to encourage you to keep going to higher levels in your walk with God. To grow deeper in your faith. To renew your mind. To hear God more clearly. And to become a willing and faithful doer of His Word.

Let’s Speak Life by Living God’s Word

The new release of She Speaks Life is about more than a podcast format. It is about a lifestyle.

It is about taking Scripture beyond the pages and allowing God’s Word to become the way we live.

It is about hearing His truth, speaking His truth, and walking in His truth through the power of the Holy Spirit.

And I am so excited to take this journey with you!

In the upcoming episodes, we will begin diving into the verses of Proverbs and discover how God’s wisdom applies to our everyday lives through the LIFE Framework.

So, friend, if you’re ready, I’m ready!

Let’s keep growing in Christ, walking in His wisdom, and experiencing the transformation that comes when we live out God’s Word.
